Easy-to-manage, personalised and secure government website
We developed a new website for Cure Afvalbeheer, the partnership between the municipalities of Eindhoven, Geldrop-Mierlo and Valkenswaard for waste collection. This site offers a unique feature: each visitor only sees information relevant to his or her municipality, creating a personalised experience. We also placed great emphasis on ease of use, making the website easy to maintain. In addition, communicating through the website has been simplified for both administrators and users.

Update old website
Cure Afvalbeheer's old website was difficult to customise by the content manager and did not offer a good user experience on mobile devices. The collaborating municipalities therefore decided to centralise all waste collection information on the Cure Afvalbeheer website. This way, they create one central information point for residents. This prompted the development of a new, user-friendly and mobile-friendly website.
Service-oriented custom website and content creation
Based on target group research, including interviews and a workshop, we created a design for the Cure Waste Management website with a strong focus on ease of use and accessibility. We paid special attention to people with visual impairments to ensure the website complies with WCAG 2.1 accessibility guidelines. We continuously monitor this to ensure that the website continues to meet changing requirements even after completion.
The design and structure of the website are based on the 'top tasks' that emerged from our user survey. The website is also personalised for each municipality, both clear for the user and the website administrator.
After going live, we worked with the municipalities to achieve a smooth transition from page indexing in search engines while maintaining positions in search results.
Besides website design and maintenance, we also offer Cure Afvalbeheer support with communication and design assignments, including icon and logo design, container design and video productions.
A secure, up-to-date government website
Cure Waste Management's content managers and customer service staff can quickly and easily edit the website's content via Umbraco CMS, ensuring it always contains up-to-date information.
As a Umbraco partner, we continuously monitor the website to ensure it complies with WCAG 2.1 guidelines. The site is very stable and performs well during peak periods, such as holidays, when the demand for information about the environmental site increases.
After the new website went live, the number of visitors has almost quadrupled and the number of monthly users continues to rise. Topics that previously ranked high in Google and linked to municipal websites have been successfully transferred to the Cure Waste Management website, while maintaining their positions in search results.
